To the right of Esteldin, in the valley, you will find more gold than to the left of Esteldin. But the ratio is not 1:1, more like 3:1. So if you have bad luck, it is possible that you get 100:18. North and West of Esteldin will have lower level mobs than the area East of Esteldin. Note: There is a thin strip in the Fields of Fornost that will have Barrow Iron and Silver instead of Rich Iron, its only about two nodes worth, so focus your efforts on the North and West sides of the Fields of Fornost.
Ofc not as much as rich iron, but I've collected bout 70 ores in 30 mins (and about 120 rich iron :D). Sorted by: 6. Central & East Lone-lands, East North Downs, Eastern Evendim. The Kingsfell area of the North Downs has great tier 3 ore node density. In Evendim, the Parth Anduil area between Tinnudir and Ost Forod is also node rich, but the mobs are a bit higher level. You'll find plenty of nodes in eastern Lone-lands while leveling there.

Rich iron ores sell, and seldom NOT, but when the second applies, check it out before you make a post that's destined to fail. Checking if Refined ingots sell, if not, i'll be sure to just sell the ores. Gold sells for a lot, specially the ingots. They're about 7-8s a piece.
